This is always a hard card to make but when a friends older brother passed away a few weeks ago I needed to make her a card. With Deepest Sympathy from High Hopes Rubber Stamps is a pretty stamp to make a card with to pass along condolences. I have made a very CAS card this time around but I also have some ideas to make cards with the sentiment masked off so I can stamp another sentiment in the middle.

Spring is here & it's time for gardening!
Happy Monday HH Fans!
As I write up this post & it's Sunday. We started the day off with buckets of rain falling so I was totally dreading going out to do our weekly shopping. BUT alas the rain stopped & the sun came out, it's turned out to be a beautiful day. Now that makes me want to be outside in the garden lol.
Since we are so close to being able to do some things in our gardens I thought what better time than now to bring Lil' Gardener out of retirement. This sweet little girl just warms my heart, I love her!
I decided to cut up my sentiment in 2 pieces & I like the look. I added a little sparkle here & there with Stickles and some glaze over the water in the can.

Some birthday wishes from the ocean
Happy Friday HH Fans!
So I've had this little idea running around in my head for a long while. I wanted to make a couple of birthday cards for my stash designed around the ocean. Something bright, cute & fun....these are what I came up with.
The main stamp is our Sea Floor Background & I chose the Sea Turtle and Oliva the Octopus for my two card additional images. High Hopes has so many different images you can use for an ocean themed card. Check out the links below for more.
The black frame around the main image is cut using 2 different size rectangle dies.

Puppy Birthday
I have a lot of dog lovers on my birthday card giving list and a lot of them have birthdays coming up over the next few months so I was super excited when "Mr. Moe" was released from the High Hopes Retirement vault! He is one of my favourite stamps - maybe because he reminds me of my dog <wink> - and perfect for a dog lovers birthday card.

Lil' Swinger
Happy Monday HH Fans!
Here in Southern Ontario we have been wondering if Spring is every going to arrive. We have had a mix of snow, hail & rain over the last week. The weekend was super nice but you never know what tomorrow will be like lol.
This week I'm bringing another image out of retirement. This cutie is called Lil' Swinger, isn't she adorable?!
For something a little different than your standard square or A2 size card I decided to cut off a 2" strip on the front of the card. I was then able to place my matted image in the centre of the card so the side of the image lined up with the edge of the back base.

Good Times
The Dancing Divas have been brought out of the High Hopes retirement vault and are enjoying a night out on the town at a dance hall with a heart shaped disco ball!?! I have a few friends that when we go out, even when we have planned our evening we always end up somewhere else doing something spontaneous and fun just like the Divas.
I created a special background for them using inks stencils, water splats and Stickles.
After stamping on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured with Copic markers and hand fussy cut the stamps. I set them aside and chose the ink colours and stencil for the background.
The background was inspired by an image I saw online and when I saw it I decided to put my spin on it with the products I had in my craft room. I started by cutting a white piece of card stock to fit the card base (5.5"w x 5.5"h) - it is cut a bit smaller then the black card stock base and added some die cut circles to mimic the lights.
I took each ink colour and added it to the paper over top of the circle die cuts (they were removed when I was done) and used some of the darker colours through the stencil to add the dots around the edges. The outside edge is blended with black ink to add to the depth of the card. Next, I sprayed some water on my fingers and spritzed it onto the background. When that was dry I used a different stencil to add the Stickles dots for some added sparkle.
At this point I was happy with the background......but something was missing! So I found a free silhouette image of people dancing and printed it off. I cut out the inside of the images - this is opposite to normal fussy cutting when you cut the outside - and when that was done, I laid it on my card and using it as a stencil, added them lightly in the background with black ink.
I added a piece of grey wood patterned paper for the dance floor, inking the edges in black first. I couldn't find a circle "disco ball" in my stash so I ended up using a sparkly heart. After gluing down the Divas, some enamel dots and a sentiment finish off my card.

Welcome Little One
Happy Monday HH Fans!
When I started to working on this image I planned for it to be an Easter card, well it didn't quite work out that way. This adorable image is called Garden Lamb. Somewhere between colouring the grass & the little bird I decided to change the theme to a baby card. I pleased with how it turned out, now I have one in my stash.
